BryceTech is seeking a senior Source Selection and Acquisition Strategy Specialist to support U.S. Space Force acquisition activities through the development, evaluation, and implementation of effective acquisition strategies and source selection approaches. This role provides expert-level acquisition planning, procurement analysis, and negotiation strategy support to Government contracting officers and program leadership. The successful candidate will apply extensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, evaluate complex acquisition needs, develop innovative procurement approaches, and recommend negotiation strategies that address cost, schedule, performance, and contracting risks. This position requires a seasoned acquisition professional with strong analytical capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to support complex Government procurements in a mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and recommend acquisition strategies aligned with program objectives, mission requirements, procurement regulations, and Government acquisition policies
- Provide source selection and acquisition strategy support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, from requirements development and acquisition planning through solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award
- Analyze new and complex acquisition requirements and apply analytical and evaluative techniques to develop innovative, effective, and efficient acquisition strategies
- Advise Government contracting officers on procurement approaches, solicitation structures, contract types, competition strategies, and acquisition risks
- Apply applicable FAR requirements, including FAR Parts 8.4, 12, 13, 15, and 16.505, to support acquisition planning, solicitation development, source selection, and task and delivery order competitions
- Develop and assess negotiation strategies for complex procurement actions, including sole-source acquisitions and negotiations involving cost, delivery schedules, performance requirements, and contractual terms
- Recommend approaches to resolve negotiation challenges, reduce costs, adjust delivery schedules, improve contract terms, and achieve favorable acquisition outcomes for the Government
- Evaluate acquisition alternatives, procurement methods, market research, contractor capabilities, and cost and schedule considerations to support sound Government decision-making
- Support the development and review of acquisition plans, source selection documentation, evaluation criteria, solicitation materials, negotiation objectives, and award recommendations
- Assist with the development and evaluation of source selection approaches that promote fairness, consistency, transparency, competition where appropriate, and compliance with applicable requirements
- Analyze technical, cost, schedule, performance, and contractual information to identify acquisition risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate with contracting officers, program managers, technical subject-matter experts, legal counsel, financial analysts, and other stakeholders to develop and implement acquisition strategies
- Prepare briefings, decision memoranda, reports, and recommendations communicating acquisition alternatives, negotiation considerations, and procurement risks to Government leadership
- Review acquisition documentation for completeness, consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with program objectives
- Monitor changes in acquisition requirements, regulations, policies, and procurement conditions and assess their implications for acquisition strategy and execution
- Independently manage complex acquisition support assignments, exercise sound professional judgment, and provide actionable recommendations to Government stakeholders
- Active DoW Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
- Master’s degree (MA/MS) in business, acquisition, contracting, management, public administration, or a related field
- Ten or more years of relevant experience in Government contracting, acquisition strategy, source selection, procurement planning, or acquisition program support
- Demonstrated contracting experience applying FAR Parts 8.4, 12, 13, 15, and 16.505 to Government acquisition activities
- Knowledge of negotiation techniques and demonstrated skill in developing negotiation strategies for recommendation to the Government Contracting Officer to resolve complex issues, including cost reductions, delivery schedule adjustments, and negotiations in sole-source environments
- Knowledge and demonstrated skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to new acquisition requirements to support innovative, effective, and efficient acquisition strategy development and implementation
- Experience developing, evaluating, or implementing acquisition strategies for complex Government procurements
- Experience supporting source selection activities, including acquisition planning, solicitation development, evaluation approaches, negotiation preparation, and acquisition documentation
- Ability to analyze acquisition requirements, procurement alternatives, cost and schedule considerations, and contractual risks to develop well-supported recommendations
- Experience advising or supporting Government contracting officers and acquisition leadership on procurement methods, contract structures, negotiation objectives, and acquisition decisions
- Understanding of competition requirements, contract types, solicitation procedures, and task or delivery order competition processes
- Ability to develop clear, defensible acquisition recommendations and supporting documentation that comply with applicable regulations and Government policies
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level briefings, decision documents, and acquisition recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple complex assignments, work independently, and collaborate effectively with Government and contractor stakeholders in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
