Solutions Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for a long-term hybrid contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler,AZ, Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

This position focuses on enhancing cloud security and compliance by designing, developing, and integrating solutions to gather security control evidence across AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate will apply software engineering principles to enforce security best practices within CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments, primarily using Java and Python.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and integrate solutions to gather security control evidence across multiple cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Identify security controls for CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments to prevent misconfigurations and enforce security standards
• Develop and deliver software solutions using Java and/or Python that meet functional, non-functional, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Manage vulnerabilities, including hands-on experience with SCA, SAST, and DAST for identification and remediation
• Engage in CI/CD activities, automating build, test, and release pipelines and integrating security best practices
• Troubleshoot defects, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure software quality through comprehensive testing and code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver secure, maintainable capabilities
• Demonstrate cloud environment compliance with internal controls and regulatory obligations through robust reporting and dashboards

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure and software development life cycles (SDLCs)
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and experience building and operating cloud-native services
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, or other object-oriented programming (OOP) languages
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and related tooling
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Solid knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL
• Experience building and integrating with REST APIs, focusing on maintainability, availability, and security

Desired skills:

• Significant experience in cybersecurity across multiple domains, with a focus on cloud security and integrating controls as code
• Experience in secure coding practices, authentication protocols, cryptography, identity and access management, and security testing
• Hands-on experience with agent-first development (AI/ML)

Pay range:$60.24 - $68.24 per hour
