Job Responsibilities:
Lead architectural planning, design, and implementation of Client enterprise websites and web applications on the WCMaaS platform.
Define and maintain solution architecture, integration patterns, and system architecture diagrams in a FedRAMP-authorized AWS environment.
Conduct Section 508 conformance testing using the Client Trusted Tester for Web Methodology (v5.0 or successor).
Prepare Section 508 Test Plans, Test Results, and Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs/VPATs) for each release.
Ensure accessibility is validated within each iteration and release containing user interface functionality.
Review designs and code for security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Produce Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) documents, including architecture designs and version description documents.
Advise Government stakeholders and the development team on technology direction, technical debt, and platform improvements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Current Client Trusted Tester Certification (required at time of hire) and the ability to maintain it throughout performance.
Minimum of ten (10) years of IT experience, including at least five (5) years designing enterprise web solutions.
Hands-on experience architecting Drupal or similar CMS platforms in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Deep knowledge of Section 508, WCAG 2.x Level A/AA, and accessibility testing tools (e.g., ANDI, Colour Contrast Analyser).
Experience producing architecture documentation and accessibility conformance reports for federal customers.
Desired Qualifications:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
Acquia certification or equivalent Drupal architecture experience.
Experience with Akamai, Red Hat Linux, Terraform, and Ansible.
Location: Remote/telework, subject to Government approval. Primary Government work location is Client, Springfield, VA.
Schedule: Core hours 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday; must be reachable by the Government 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ET and respond to technical issues within 2 hours.
Clearance: Client Public Trust (suitability/Entry on Duty); U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Client Public Trust suitability determination.
