Machine C Operator - 2nd Shift (3PM - 11PM)

Job Description:

Role Summary 

Entry-level position. Required tooperate filling and packaging equipment according to procedures given by theTeam Lead and/orManufacturing Manager. Does Supervise activities on the line likeputting bottles in the line, manual palletizing, or any other activity assigned by the TeamLead.The shift is 3 PM – 11Monday - Friday.  

JOB DUTIES  

Assists the lead operators on production line equipment efficiently whilemaintaining Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality, and Production standards.  

Promotes and follows all EHS and Quality guidelines and procedures.  

Performs minor set-ups, cleaning, and general operation of various filling and packaging machines.  

Ability to accurately account for production quantity, process scrap, production time, and traceability practices by filling out a daily production log.  

Recommends safety improvements as needed  

Ensures all housekeeping and equipment standards are met.  

Assists in training temporary workers to pick/place/pack/palletize. 

Other Duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS  

• High School Diploma/GEDrequired.  

• 1-2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment; preferably automotive or bottling and packaging.  

• Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English.  

• Must have the ability to perform simple math calculations.  

• Must be computer literate.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis constantly required to stand; walk; climb; balance on moving vehicles in standing and sitting positions,operate mechanical moving equipment; and to hear. The employee is constantly exposed to vibration whileoperating mechanical equipment. The employee isfrequently required to bend; stoop; stand; handle; finger; feel; reach forward with arms; and talk. The employeeis occasionally required to sit; crouch; kneel; squat; and twist. The employeeis rarely required to crawl. The employee must occasionally lift, push/pull, and or move up to 65 pounds. The employee mustpossess the mandatory ability to react and move quickly in case of emergency. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception and ability to adjust focus/accommodate. 

RISKS   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the possibility of injury to the hands or feet and collision with moving equipment. The possibility of fire exists. On rareoccasion, the employee has the possibility of exposure (once a day) to electrical shock and battery explosion.  The employee may also rarely come into contact with toxic / caustic chemicals from damagedproduct. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee isfrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and machinery. A strong citrus odor is present constantly in the work environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Work is performed inside with moderate amounts of heat,cold and humidity encountered. Inside work can be dirty, with adequate lighting and ventilation. Conditions can include the presence of hazards such as flammable liquids, movingmachinery and working around and with others.

Compensation Information:

$19 -$21 per hour, depending on experience
