Software Senior Engineer - India_AGS

About The Job:

• 6+ years of experience in development frameworks such as Node.js (preferred) and React/Angular.js.
• Responsible for designing, developing, and supporting data-driven applications, automation solutions, and enterprise-scale data platforms.

Essential Job Functions:

• Implement data-driven applications for automation using Node.js for REST APIs.
• Leverage off-the-shelf reporting and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) wherever possible and build custom UI solutions when required.
• Utilize the ELK Stack to build data processing capabilities for various applications.
• Build smart connectors to ingest data from a variety of sources, including structured and unstructured data.
• Develop APIs to export data for consumption by external applications.
• Follow Scrum methodology, participate in Agile ceremonies, and support incremental delivery models.
• Adhere to development best practices, code quality standards, and source control management using GitLab.
• Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and user guides in Confluence.

Primary Accountabilities

• Provide full design, planning, configuration, deployment, documentation, and support ownership of storage infrastructure technologies.
• Identify design requirements and recommend capacity planning, performance optimization, and future-state architecture.
• Design storage solutions based on business requirements, including workload modeling, sizing, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Research and evaluate system and operating system features while coordinating with vendors on sizing and architecture decisions.
• Manage and support storage virtualization, data rationalization, workload automation, disaster recovery, storage provisioning, and SAN fabric management.
• Troubleshoot storage-related reliability, availability, and performance issues.
• Implement architecture recommendations related to application integration, system administration, preventive maintenance, and performance tuning.
• Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks while recommending hardware, software, and configuration improvements.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, maintenance, re-engineering, and performance enhancements.
• Gather business requirements and contribute to product definition, usability improvements, and feature prioritization.
• Perform competitive analysis and participate in product enhancement initiatives.
• Create technical documentation, implementation guides, and end-user documentation.
• Protect intellectual property through collaboration with legal, procurement, and open-source governance teams.
• Ensure product delivery within budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Support development planning, status reporting, resource estimation, and project tracking.
• Design and implement source code version control methodologies and software quality assurance processes.
• Measure quality metrics and drive process improvements across teams.

Qualifications:
Technical Skills

• Experience building and implementing data models and end-to-end architectures for data ingestion, storage, and processing.
• Hands-on experience with analytics and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Strong expertise in SQL, complex query development, stored procedures, and database optimization.
• Experience with Node.js (preferred) and front-end technologies such as React.js or Angular.js.
• Strong experience in REST API design and web service automation.
• Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Experience with distributed source code repositories such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, process management, reporting, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt within a dynamic environment.
