About the role
Globalpundits is hiring a Software QA Engineer / SDET for a multi-year technology program with a client in the regulated energy sector. You'll independently develop and execute test plans, test cases and quality assurance procedures for applications supporting the team's initiative. You'll own defect identification, documentation and tracking, and validate fixes before release.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases and QA procedures with limited supervision
- Identify, document and track defects through resolution
- Validate fixes and run regression testing before each release
- Build and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks where applicable
- Trace requirements to test cases and report test coverage and results
- Lead testing for specific releases or workstreams and guide junior QA staff
What we're looking for
- 4–8 years of experience in manual and automated software QA testing
- Hands-on experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar
- Experience with automated test frameworks and scripting (for example Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Python or Java)
- Experience writing test plans, test cases and QA procedures
- Strong attention to detail and solid troubleshooting skills
