Software Engineering - Software Engineer II

Location:

Remote - PST strongly preferred

Salary Range:

Hourly rate up to $80/hr on W2 

Introduction

This is a 6-month assignment with the possibility to extend based on performance and business needs. The role involves two rounds of interviews focusing on technical and behavioral/people perspectives. This is a backfill contract worker position.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with developing evaluated machine learning models, particularly classification models
• Experience building or supporting ML systems in production environments
• 3 years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, or similar)
• Experience building, testing, and maintaining production-quality software
• Experience with common development practices and tools (e.g., version control, code review, CI/CD)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience at the company would be preferred
• Experience at similar companies such as Google, Client, Uber, Netflix, etc.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Deliver well-scoped software enhancements and features aligned to project goals and timelines
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve quality and reliability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, data, security) to support execution of defined deliverables
• Create and maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions
• Contribute to operational excellence, including monitoring, incident response support, and performance improvements as needed
