Location: Montreal, QC/2 days onsite
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: 78-84/hr. Inc

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of custom software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise content management, document processing, and cloud migration initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8 years of experience with Java/Spring Boot, REST/Open APIs, Microservices, Kafka, and event-driven document & transaction processing
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field
• Expertise in designing and developing integrations using Java/Spring Boot, REST/Open APIs, and Kafka
• Experience with AWS-based document workflows and integrations using AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, and Amazon S3
• Prior work experience in the client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with ECM modernization and cloud migration initiatives
• Familiarity with CI/CD, deployment automation, container platforms, Infrastructure as Code, and job orchestration tools like GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and BMC Control-M
• Strong understanding of development standards, code quality, automated testing, security, observability, and operational reliability practices

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom software components and service-based architectures
• Drive solution architecture and technical design decisions across distributed systems and microservices
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, security teams, and business stakeholders
• Analyze complex technical and business challenges to develop scalable solutions
• Take accountability for delivery outcomes and contribute to critical technical and business decisions
