Software Engineer - .NET Production Support

The Role

UST is searching for a highly motivated Software Engineer - .NET Production Support to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background combined with hands-on experience supporting critical production applications in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do

·Provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for enterprise applications and services.

·Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, system, and performance issues.

·Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions.

·Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies.

·Debug and resolve issues related to REST APIs, integrations, and backend services.

·Analyze system behavior, application logs, and monitoring data to proactively identify problems.

·Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams, QA, and infrastructure teams to resolve production incidents.

·Participate in on-call support rotations and ensure adherence to SLA commitments.

·Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance.

·Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation activities.

·Leverage observability and monitoring tools to improve system reliability and operational visibility.

·Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python, AI-enabled tools, and modern engineering practices.

·Contribute to DevOps, SRE, DataOps, and MLOps initiatives to improve operational efficiency and application stability.

·Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using Git.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

·5+ years of overall IT experience, including 2+ years of Production Support experience in enterprise environments.

·Strong programming experience in C# and .NET Framework/.NET technologies.

·Advanced expertise in SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.

·Experience with system analysis, incident management, and stakeholder communication.

·Hands-on experience with Git and modern branching strategies.

·Strong understanding of REST APIs, troubleshooting, and debugging techniques.

·Experience supporting and maintaining applications hosted on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

·Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management processes.

·Experience working with monitoring and observability platforms such as:

·Splunk

·Datadog

·Grafana

·Prometheus

·Dynatrace

·Familiarity with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and best practices.

·Exposure to DataOps and MLOps frameworks and processes.

·Hands-on experience automating operational activities using Python and AI-driven solutions.

·Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·Preferred Qualifications

·Experience in large-scale enterprise production environments.

·Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices.

·Knowledge of incident response, problem management, and change management processes.

·Experience driving process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

·Ability to work effectively with distributed global teams.

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation Range:$62,000-$93,000
