We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team, where you will work across multiple stacks and domains to build the integrations and features that power the next generation of Cisco’s global platform.

Your Impact

As a Backend Engineer, you will:

• Innovate: Design and deliver robust backend features, focusing on both functional excellence and long-term scalability.
• Mentor: Guide and support your teammates, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical best practices.
• Integrate: Drive sophisticated product integrations and AI-native solutions that extend the value of the Cisco portfolio.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with frontend and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end user experiences.
• Scale: Build and maintain reliable, high-performance services that support our global enterprise user base.

Minimum Qualification:

We encourage you to apply even if you don't match every single bullet point, but you generally have:

• 8–12 years of hands-on backend development experience with Go or Java.
• Strong experience working with AWS and leveraging monitoring/observability tools like ELK, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong grasp of DevOps practices.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly
• A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualification

• Familiarity with modern frontend technologies.
• Experience with AI tools, frameworks, or methodologies.
• A genuine passion for building backend systems that are as maintainable as they are performant.
