Software Engineer (Java)

The Software Engineerdrives software development based on design requirements andensures software and subroutinesperform to specification. The roleguarantees program codesadhere to standards anddelivers quality solutions thatmeet schedule and requirements.

What will you do?

Development & Coding

• Analyse process and program specifications andtranslate them into program codes
• Enforce conformance to programming guidelines and best practices
• Analyse functional requirements andtranslate them into application design using established methodologies
• Configuration & Change Management
• Execute changes to configurable items including hardware, software, and documentation
• Lead configuration management planning, identification, controls, and audits

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Design anddevelop unit test packages,execute tests, anddocument results to ensure quality
• Drive integration testing, system testing, UAT, and implementation activities

Issue Resolution & Maintenance

• Resolve reported problems or bugs to ensure smooth execution in production
• Investigate errors andimplement amendments and testing for correct and efficient system operation

Documentation & Compliance

• Create andmaintain up-to-date system documentation
• Ensure codescomply with security guidelines

Collaboration & Quality Improvement

• Collaborate with team lead to ensure design and codesconform to architecture and standards
• Participate in requirements gathering andreview functional specifications
• Engage in peer reviews toelevate project quality

Essential Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in developing and delivering application software
• Relevant system development and maintenance experience using Java-related technologies
• Strong knowledge of CVE tracking and vulnerability management with hands-on experience
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to think creatively
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel as required

Professional and/or Technical Certifications
