Crown Point Technologies is seeking aSoftware Engineer to support modernization and innovation efforts across mission-critical systems. In this role, you will work directly with mission stakeholders to evaluate existing environments, conduct rapid technical experiments, and develop proof-of-concept solutions that influence enterprise architecture and future system design.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoysolving complex problems, evaluating emerging technologies, and rapidly prototyping solutions that drive mission modernization.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with mission stakeholders to identifysystem gaps and modernization opportunities
- Conducttechnical trade studies and deliver actionable architecture recommendations
- Design and executerapid “fail-fast” experiments to evaluate emerging technologies
- Developproof-of-concept solutions and transition successful prototypes into operational systems
- Support modernization efforts includingcloud adoption and refactoring legacy systems into cloud-native architectures
- Implement secure solutions usingmodern authentication, authorization, and PKI frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in anAgile development environment
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- 14+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong development experience withJava, Python, and JavaScript (React)
- Experience buildingREST APIs and service-based architectures
- Experience withAWS cloud services (EC2, S3)
- Experience withcontainer technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity withInfrastructure as Code tools (Ansible or similar)
- Experience working inAgile environments
Nice to Have
- Experience withgraph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune)
- Familiarity withAI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
- Experience withCI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Experience withidentity and access management solutions (Keycloak)
- Experience designingscalable cloud-native architectures
