Title: Software Engineer
Location: Milan, IL
Duration: 1 Year Contract
Role: Develop and support event-driven Java microservices on AWS that convert field operations data into AI-generated stories.
Key Requirements:

1–3 years of software development experience, preferably in Java backend development and Agile environments.

Strong Java and Spring Boot skills; experience with REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and messaging.

Experience with unit/integration testing using JUnit 5, Mockito, and preferably Testcontainers/LocalStack.

AWS experience, preferably SQS, Step Functions, and EKS.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Datadog.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Engineering/Technology/IT degree or equivalent experience. Agriculture domain knowledge is a plus.
