Overview
The Dynamics 365 Business Central team within Microsoft is dedicated to revolutionizing business operations with a suite of comprehensive business management applications. As aSoftware Engineer II on the Dynamics 365 Business Central team, you will own the design and delivery of features end-to-end for a highly scalable, world-class cloud service used by businesses worldwide. You'll play a key role in bringing generative AI and agentic experiences into core business processes, driving technical decisions within your area and helping raise the engineering bar across the team. Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Responsibilities
  • Design, code, test and deploy robust, scalable full-stack features for the web-based business management platform, using C#, .NET, Azure and modern web frameworks.

  • Design and build AI-powered and agentic experiences using LLMs, including prompt design, evaluation and quality measurement, grounding, and responsible AI practices.

  • Work closely with PMs, UX designers and engineers to turn complex business requirements into well-designed technical solutions.

  • Take part in agile planning, design sessions and sprint retrospectives.

  • Improve quality through code reviews, unit tests and automation.

  • Help keep the live service healthy: monitor performance, resolve production issues and join the on-call rotation.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience. 
  • Professional experience building and shipping production software, preferably cloud services.
  • Professional full-stack experience with a track record of shipping commercial software.
  • Hands-on experience with an object-oriented language such as C# or TypeScript.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in an agile team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • An understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering and agentic workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience building on a cloud platform such as Azure, AWS or GAE.
  • Skill with relational databases, SQL and data modeling.
  • Experience with complex, data-heavy business applications.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Denmark is kr 572,800.00 - kr 958,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
