JOB SUMMARY
The Surgeon is a licensed medical professional responsible for delivering comprehensive surgical care to patients across inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes pre-operative assessment, surgical intervention, and post-operative management using evidence-based clinical practices. The Surgeon collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care while adhering to institutional policies and regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Clinical Judgment:
Conducts thorough pre-operative evaluations, formulates surgical plans, and performs procedures in accordance with established clinical guidelines. Monitors patient recovery and adjusts treatment plans as required.
Clinical Inquiry:
Assesses the effectiveness of surgical practices through outcome monitoring and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Patient-Centered Care:
Provides compassionate and ethical care, manages perioperative pain, and minimizes surgical risks and complications.

Integrates patients' cultural, social, and individual values into clinical decision-making and care planning.
Advocacy and Ethical Practice:
