Job Title: Software Engineer 
Location: Kanata, ON
Duration: 12 Months

Introduction

Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle, including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality, and deploying the software to meet customer requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• Proficiency in Python, Linux, and C programming.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in embedded systems and software automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar scientific field.
• 5 years of experience working on operating systems, kernel, drivers, and core services such as file systems, graphics, networking, USB, and WiFi.
• Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

• Experience with embedded systems and automated scripting.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

• Develop C/C services for the company's infotainment system.
• Investigate system and BSP failures from internal users and external customers.
• Participate in system design, documentation, and testing to deliver a best-in-class infotainment system.
• Collaborate and coordinate work with other teams.
