Location: Kingston, NY (hybrid - 3 days a week in office)
Salary: $75-120k depending on experience

Education:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry certifications required
Experience:2–5 years of full stack software development experience required
Skills: Experience with.NET (C#/.NET Core), TypeScript/JavaScript, modern JavaScript frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps/GitHub, Python, Kubernetes, and relational databases required

Our client is seeking aSoftware Engineer to join its growingTechnology team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about writing high-quality code, improving development processes, and contributing to the long-term success of enterprise applications.

Responsibilities of theSoftware Engineer will include:

• Design, develop, and supportcustom software applications andsystem integrations
• Build scalable solutions usingvendor APIs, SDKs, internal APIs, and cloud-based technologies
• Ensure applications meetquality, security, usability, scalability, and maintainability standards
• Collaborate withBusiness Analysts, project teams, and product owners to define technical solutions
• Develop reusablecomponents, services, and frameworks for the engineering team
• Participate in thedevelopment, deployment, and maintenance of production applications
• Create and maintainCI/CD processes and deployment tooling
• Work with leadership to help defineproduct roadmaps and prioritize development efforts
• Deliver software usingiterative development and established coding standards
• Contribute tosoftware architecture, technical standards, and development best practices
• Providetechnical mentorship and support continuous improvement within the development team
• Assist with maintaining the organization'ssoftware development lifecycle framework and internal development documentation

Qualifications for the role ofSoftware Engineer:

Required:

• 2–5 years of software development experience
• Experience with.NET (C#/.NET Core)
• Experience withTypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks such asAngular, React, Vue, or Svelte
• Experience creating and implementingCI/CD pipelines
• Experience withAzure DevOps and/orGitHub
• Experience withPython development (such asFlask, Django, or Jinja)
• Experience working withmessage brokers such asKafka orRabbitMQ
• Experience withPostgreSQL,Redis, or similar data technologies
• Experience withKubernetes and container deployment
• Working knowledge ofAI coding assistants to improve development efficiency
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-recognized certifications

Preferred:

• Experience designing and implementinggRPC andREST APIs
• Familiarity withOWASP Top 10 security principles
• Experience withOIDC andOAuth2 authentication and authorization
• Experience with theELK Stack for logging and observability
