Position Responsibilities

Backend (Java / Spring)
- Write and maintain Java 17 service classes, DAOs, and REST controllers within the Spring 6 application
- Write unit tests using JUnit 5 and Mockito; maintain minimum coverage thresholds enforced by JaCoCo
- Work with SQL Server and Oracle databases via Hibernate/JPA
- Participate in code review — reading and commenting on pull requests

Frontend (Angular / TypeScript)
- Build and maintain Angular 20 components, services, and routing
- Work with the AG Grid and DevExtreme component libraries for data-heavy views
- Use RxJS for async data handling
- Debug and fix UI issues across the application

Responsibilities:
- Build the project locally using Maven (backend) and npm (frontend)
- Investigate and fix bugs with guidance from senior developers
- Follow established patterns in the codebase rather than introducing new abstractions
- Write clear commit messages and participate in sprint ceremonies

Qualifications

US Citizenship is required for this position

- Pursuing or recently completed a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Java fundamentals (OOP, collections, exception handling)
- Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with Git (branching, commits, pull requests)

Preferred
- Coursework or project experience with Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Security)
- Any experience with a component-based frontend framework (Angular, React, or Vue)
- Exposure to TypeScript or JavaScript
- Basic understanding of REST APIs

Compensation Info

The U.S. hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
