Job Title:  Software Development Engineer 1
Location:  Redmond , WA
Salary Range:  $48/hr to $52/hr on W2 

Introduction

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps & Automation Engineer to design, build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure and automation that support software development and delivery. The ideal candidate has strong experience with CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, scripting, deployment automation, and engineering tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.S degree
• 2 years of hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or build/release engineering
• Strong Python programming and scripting skills
• Experience with Azure or another m
• Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies
• Experience with Git and modern source-control workflows
• Understanding of software build, test, deployment, and release processes
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, build, deployment, and environment issues
• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments
• Ability to independently investigate technical problems and drive them to resolution
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or Ansible
• Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting systems
• Familiarity with networking, identity and access management, certificates, secrets management, and cloud security
• Experience supporting development, test, staging, and production environments

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Automate software build, test, validation, packaging, deployment, and release processes
• Develop Python scripts and automation tools for engineering and operational workflows
• Provision, configure, and maintain Azure cloud resources and development environments
• Support source control, branching, build systems, artifact management, and release workflows
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation
• Manage dependencies, environment configurations, credentials, secrets, and deployment settings
• Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational health checks
• Troubleshoot CI/CD, build, deployment, infrastructure, networking, configuration, and environment issues
• Improve system reliability, deployment consistency, and engineering productivity through automation
• Support containerized applications and deployment environments where applicable
• Identify repetitive engineering processes and develop tools to reduce manual work
• Collaborate with software engineers and other technical teams to improve development and deployment workflows
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Evaluate and adopt appropriate tools and technologies to improve engineering workflows
