WHAT WE DO:
We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

Position Summary

The Manager, Software Delivery is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions within a product-led, mission-driven Agile environment.

This role provides leadership to software delivery teams and is accountable for execution planning, resource management, risks and dependencies, vendor management, stakeholder communication, and successful delivery outcomes. The Manager will ensure that software products and platform initiatives align with business objectives, engineering standards, operational expectations, and organizational priorities.

The role will support delivery across the organization's core VST platform and/or product teams, with a strong emphasis on Agile delivery, continuous improvement, operational stability, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a servant leader by managing, coaching, and developing Agile software development and delivery teams.

  • Partner with business stakeholders, product leaders, and engineering teams to establish product roadmaps and maintain alignment around business and technology objectives.

  • Establish and manage delivery milestones, schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.

  • Ensure software development teams have the resources, tools, and support necessary to successfully deliver products and meet established objectives.

  • Manage budgets, vendors, and external delivery partners as required.

  • Work with teams to de-risk objectives, estimate and size work, and establish and maintain burn-up tracking against milestones to support high-integrity delivery commitments.

  • Proactively identify and remove blockers, limit work in progress, and protect teams from unnecessary distractions.

  • Coordinate release planning, regression testing, deployments, sprint planning, and sprint execution.

  • Optimize production system operations through monitoring, capacity analysis, root cause analysis, and other continuous improvement practices.

  • Identify opportunities to improve system stability, security, performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Foster strong collaboration among stakeholders, engineering teams, product teams, and other organizational partners.

  • Identify, propose, and implement innovative solutions to complex and time-sensitive technology and delivery challenges.

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and career development opportunities to team members while supporting talent retention and acquisition.

  • Establish accountability and promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.

  • Manage and support internal and external SOX reviews, audit activities, compliance requirements, and governing policies.

  • Ensure delivery practices remain aligned with established engineering standards, procedures, Agile practices, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 8+ years of experience delivering software products or technology solutions.

  • 4+ years of experience in management or technical leadership.

  • 2+ years of hands-on software development experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams supporting SAP and/or Salesforce platforms.

  • Experience managing patching, upgrades, releases, and/or platform lifecycle activities for SAP and/or Salesforce.

  • Strong understanding of software development and delivery lifecycle practices.

  • Proven experience managing delivery risks, dependencies, milestones, resources, and schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or engineering experience with SAP and/or Salesforce.

  • Strong experience working in an Agile product development environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams and stakeholders in Agile practices and drive Agile maturity.

  • Experience leading software development initiatives within a relevant technology or platform environment.

  • Experience with DevOps practices and modern software delivery methodologies.

  • Experience with production monitoring, capacity analysis, root cause analysis, and operational improvement.

  • Experience working within a regulated utility environment strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.

  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, SDLC practices, and product-based software development.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing software delivery teams.

  • Strong delivery planning, milestone management, release coordination, and sprint execution skills.

  • Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks, dependencies, blockers, and resource constraints.

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

  • Excellent facilitation, negotiation, expectation-setting, and conflict-resolution abilities.

  • Working knowledge of DevOps, operational monitoring, capacity management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to manage budgets, vendors, audits, compliance activities, and governing policies.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and collaborative environment.
