SummaryUST is seeking an experiencedSolution Architect / Technical Architect to lead the architecture and evolution of the Cortex platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise-scale application architecture. This role will be responsible for defining architecture standards, guiding engineering teams, driving technical decision-making, and ensuring operational excellence across the platform.
The OpportunityAs a Solution Architect, you will own and drive the end-to-end architecture of the Cortex platform, spanning frontend, backend, data, integrations, and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions while supporting strategic initiatives and business goals.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Cortex solution architecture across frontend, backend, data, integration, and infrastructure layers.
- Understand, assess, and enhance existing production systems without unnecessary redesign.
- Define architecture standards, design patterns, API contracts, data models, security controls, observability, and operational readiness practices.
- Lead integrations with Athena, SDP, DAP, visualization frameworks, and contributor plugin ecosystems.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership for complex engineering initiatives.
- Drive technical risk assessment, mitigation planning, root cause analysis, and cross-team decision-making.
- Mentor technical leads and engineering teams on architecture best practices.
- Maintain architecture documentation, decision records, diagrams, and knowledge-sharing assets.
- Support PI Planning, technical workshops, onboarding activities, and BOT transition readiness.
- Partner with stakeholders to align technology roadmaps with business objectives.
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering with significant architecture or technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.
- Extensive experience with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core technologies.
- Solid understanding of Angular and TypeScript from an architectural perspective.
- Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Strong database expertise with SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Helm, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing strategies and quality engineering practices.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot production systems and drive service recovery.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
