Associate Financial Analyst, External Reporting - A&F Co.

Job Description:

The Associate Financial Analyst will play an integral part in Abercrombie's external financial reporting process. The Associate Financial Analyst will also have direct exposure to the company's Assistant and Corporate Controller, as well as other business leaders throughout the organization. Natural career progression to other accounting and finance roles within the finance team is possible after proven success in the role.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio. 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Preparing SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, Proxy), including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL tagging
• Gather, organize and evaluate source documentation to ensure the accuracy of all public disclosures.
• Assist with the accounting and forecasting of stock-based compensation expense and weighted average share calculations
• Preparing investor presentations and schedules supporting earnings releases
• Assisting in coordinating annual audits and quarterly reviews
• Performing technical accounting and financial reporting research and documenting conclusions
• Partnering with other departments throughout the company to review financial reporting processes and identify areas for continuous improvement
• Preparing ad hoc financial reports for senior management and investor relations
• Maintaining a strong internal control environment and effective disclosure controls and procedures

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience, public accounting experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional partners
• High attention to detail and a natural curiosity to dive into the “why” behind numbers
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A self-starter mentality with an eagerness to take on new challenges
• Creative approach to problem solving with a humble, team-oriented, and optimistic attitude
