Who We Are:At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines.. You will be hired directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian-based premium distributor partnering with professional haircare brands that are known for innovation, quality, and sustainability. Rather than simply supplying products, they focus on helping salon owners and stylists grow thriving businesses through education, support, and long-term partnerships.Â
Working closely with creative professionals across the industry, they champion brands that inspire artistry, encourage individuality, and deliver meaningful results. Their mission is to empower salon businesses to achieve greater success—both creatively and commercially—by providing the tools, knowledge, and support needed to grow with confidence.
Role Overview: We’re looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Manager & Video Editor to manage multiple social media accounts of the client. You’ll turn raw footage of hair transformations, product features, educational sessions, and industry events into polished, engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok, while managing content calendars, captions, publishing, and community engagement across several brand accounts.
You’ll also build the business’s TikTok presence from the ground up and support the founder’s LinkedIn content. Working closely with the in-house marketing team, you’ll help maintain consistent brand identities, grow engagement with hairdressers and salon owners, and use creative ideas and AI tools to improve content. As the business grows, there may be opportunities to take on broader marketing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:Â
Video Editing & Content Creation
- Edit raw footage into polished, engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Adapt video pacing, length, hooks, and formats to suit each platform.
- Create content featuring hair transformations, educational tips, product features, behind-the-scenes footage, and industry events.
- Add captions, text overlays, transitions, music, and sound effects while maintaining each brand’s visual identity.
- Colour-correct and grade footage to ensure hair colour and products look accurate and premium.
- Repurpose longer videos, educational sessions, and event footage into multiple short-form clips.
- Use AI tools to streamline editing, generate ideas, and improve content quality.
Social Media Management
- Manage the main Instagram account and multiple brand-specific social media accounts.
- Plan and maintain content calendars across all accounts.
- Write engaging captions that resonate with hairdressers and salon owners.
- Schedule and publish content consistently across platforms.
- Maintain consistent content quality, brand voice, and presentation across all accounts.
Community Engagement
- Respond promptly to comments and direct messages in the appropriate brand voice.
- Monitor tagged posts and engage with relevant salon and client content.
- Proactively comment on, share, and interact with posts from the salon community.
- Build relationships with hairdressers and salon owners to grow engagement across accounts.
TikTok Growth
- Build and grow the business’s TikTok presence from the ground up.
- Monitor trends, sounds, and content formats, adapting relevant ideas to suit each brand.
LinkedIn Content Support
- Assist with managing the founder’s personal LinkedIn profile.
- Repurpose relevant content from other social channels into posts suited to a professional audience.
Must have:
- 2–3 years minimum experience in video editing and social media management for brands
- A strong portfolio of short-form video content (Reels and TikTok) showing high-quality editing
- Advanced skills in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Solid working knowledge of Instagram and TikTok, including Reels, Stories, trends, algorithms and insights
- Experience managing multiple brand accounts at once, each with its own voice
- A strong eye for aesthetics, with a feel for how hair, colour and product should look on camera
- Clear understanding of how tone and content differ across Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Great written and verbal communication skills in English
- Organised, reliable and self-directed, with strong attention to detail
- Availability during South Australian business hours
Nice to have:
- Experience in the hair, beauty or fashion industry, as is a genuine passion for the space
- Experience using AI tools for video editing and content creation
- Broader marketing or marketing management experience
- Familiarity with social scheduling tools such as Meta Business Suite, Later or Planoly
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that may be set up as either an independent contractor engagement or via an Employer of Record (EOR), depending on client preferences and legal structure.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Be available for meetings and collaboration during core [AEST or PHT] business hours
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor” if not employed via EOR)
