Job Role / Responsibilities
Mission:Â
Administer and manage the relevant infrastructure in compliance with industry best practices, policies and standards in force within the area of application.Â
Continuously develop technical knowledge and contribute to the improvement of operational processes, procedures and security controls.
Role Summary:Â
This role requires the successful candidate to work full time on-site at a Verona location. Â
The ideal candidate will combine strong IT infrastructure experience with a solid understanding of security operations and security best practices.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities include:
Enterprise Infrastructure Administration
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
- Manage Active Directory services, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS and related infrastructure services.
- Support infrastructure hardening, secure configuration management and patch management activities.
- Ensure availability, reliability and operational effectiveness of business-critical systems.
Virtualization & Platform Management
- Administer and maintain virtualized environments, including VMware platforms.
- Manage virtual machine lifecycle, performance and resource allocation.
- Support backup, recovery and infrastructure resilience activities.
Monitoring and Incident Response
- Manage monitoring tools to identify anomalous behaviours, security events and operational issues.
- Investigate alerts, support root cause analysis and coordinate remediation activities.
- Ensure business continuity in case of service disruption.
- Work with incident response teams to develop, test and improve response plans.
Vulnerability & Security Management
- Support vulnerability assessment and remediation activities.
- Coordinate remediation plans with relevant stakeholders.
- Verify compliance with security baselines, hardening standards and security controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities when required.
Continuous Development and IntegrationÂ
- Support the secure integration of applications and services within production environments.
- Contribute to the adoption of security best practices within development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with developers and technical teams to improve operational efficiency and security.Â
Security AutomationÂ
- Contribute to the automation of operational and security processes where appropriate.Â
- Support the implementation of tools and controls to enhance security monitoring and threat detection.Â
Configuration ManagementÂ
- Manage configuration management tools and processes to ensure consistency, compliance and security across infrastructure environments.Â
ReportingÂ
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports covering operational, security and performance metrics.Â
- Communicate findings, risks and recommendations to relevant stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.Â
GovernanceÂ
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies, processes and procedures.Â
- Support compliance, governance and security initiatives across the organisation.Â
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with adopted standards and security objectives.
- Support internal and external audit activities, compliance assessments and evidence collection processes.
- Collaborate with internal team to address remediation activities and compliance-related requirements.

Desired Skills
- Fluent English and Italian.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with virtualization platforms, particularly VMware environments.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux administration, including command-line and shell usage.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS and related infrastructure services.
- Understanding of security technologies and concepts, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, Web Filtering and infrastructure hardening.
- Experience with patch management and configuration management solutions.
- Knowledge of log management, monitoring platforms and security event analysis.
- Ability to investigate security events, analyse system behaviour and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, operational processes and business-critical environments.
Certifications/Qualifications

- Industry-recognized certifications in Networking, Systems Administration, Virtualization or Cyber Security.
