Engineering Intern – Braid Design

Overview:

The internship position is an opportunity for an Engineering student to gain real world and hands on experience in a manufacturing environment, while concurrentlyproviding benefit to STS Aerospace.  The purpose of this  internship, is to studyBraid Wire andAdvance Braid Design Theory with the goal of revising current engineering calculations to better predict hose performance.

Qualification/Requirements:

• Graduate student, Senior, or Junior in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science.
• Strong academic / analytical modeling.
• Able to develop mathematical theory validated with actual test results.
• Strong programing, Excel or Google Sheets background.
• Strong Material Science knowledge

Preferred Skills: 

• MATLAB, Python, Statistical and Data Analysis

Education and/or Experience

Currently enrolled in four-year technical degreed program from a college or university.  Academic transcript required upon application submittal.
