About The Job:
- We are seeking a Cyber Security professional with strong expertise in Source Code Management (SCM), secret detection, Git-based workflows, and secure software development practices.
- The ideal candidate will have experience identifying and remediating exposed secrets within source code repositories while supporting security integration across development and CI/CD environments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manage and support source code security initiatives across enterprise repositories.
- Work extensively with Source Code Management (SCM) platforms, preferably Bitbucket.
- Analyze and manage Git integrations including webhooks, Git commits, Git hooks, branching, and repository governance.
- Implement and maintain secret detection and scanning controls using tools such as Gitleaks, TruffleHog, Soteri, or equivalent solutions.
- Identify, analyze, and remediate exposed secrets, credentials, tokens, and sensitive information stored within source code repositories.
- Support the integration of security controls within CI/CD pipelines and software development workflows.
- Develop automation scripts and operational solutions for security management, reporting, monitoring, and compliance activities.
- Perform security reviews of repositories and development practices to reduce risk exposure.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to improve secure coding and repository management practices.
- Create documentation, operational procedures, security standards, and reporting dashboards.
- Assist in incident investigations related to source code security and credential exposure.
- Promote security best practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills
- 7+ years of overall experience in Cyber Security.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management (SCM) tools, preferablyBitbucket.
- Strong understanding of Git concepts and integrations including webhooks, Git commits, Git hooks, branching strategies, and repository management.
- Experience with secret detection and scanning tools such asGitleaks,TruffleHog,Soteri, or similar technologies.
- Ability to analyze, identify, and remediate exposed secrets and credentials in source code repositories.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Basic to moderate proficiency in scripting and automation for operational, reporting, and management purposes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating security controls within DevSecOps environments.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and software supply chain security.
- Experience working with enterprise repository governance and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to vulnerability management and code security assessment tools.
- Knowledge of automation technologies used for security orchestration and reporting.
