ROLLING HILLS CASINO

  • $28.50 – $30.00 / hour

SUMMARY

The Slot Data Systems Coordinator is the (supervisory) owner of records for the accuracy of the casino's gaming device data. This position maintains the slot data system as the single authoritative inventory of every gaming device on property, maintains the Slot Master File as the document repository supporting all data entered in the slot data system, processes all moves, adds, changes, conversions and removals in the system, conducts recurring physical audits of the gaming floor to verify that system records match the machines actually deployed, and performs pre-coin functional testing on all newly installed, converted or relocated devices before Revenue Audit verification and release to play.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Slot Data System Administration

  • As the Gaming Department's supervisory agent for maintenance of the slot data system, generates and retains sufficient documentation for every data-file change (source paperwork, system audit log or screen capture, date, and the agent making the change) to permit random verification every month by Revenue Audit or other agents independent of the Gaming Department, and makes that documentation available on request.
  • Maintains all gaming device records within the slot data system, including asset number, serial number, manufacturer, theme, cabinet type, location (zone/bank/stand), denomination(s), accounting denomination, game mix, theoretical hold (par), progressive linkage, and player tracking configuration.
  • Assembles the project paperwork package (order, schedule, configuration sheet, par sheets, and Tribal Gaming Commission (TGC) permits and approvals) for Gaming-Slots Management sign-off.
  • Enters all device moves, adds, changes, conversions, and removals in the slot data system after Gaming-Slots Management sign-off and before the project paperwork is released to Revenue Audit for verification to system, and in all cases before revenue is posted for the gaming day on which the device is released to play or removed.
  • Releases the signed project paperwork package to Revenue Audit for independent review and verification to system before testing, and resolves any variances Revenue Audit identifies before the device is presented for release.
  • Configures and verifies multi-denomination and multi-game devices, ensuring the correct par percentage is assigned to each denomination and game combination and that blended theoretical hold is calculated correctly.
  • Builds and maintains progressive controller mapping, contribution rates, reset and ceiling values in coordination with Slot Technical and the applicable manufacturer.
  • Verifies system communication and polling for all devices; identifies and escalates devices that are not reporting, are reporting incomplete meter sets, or are reporting to an incorrect location.

2. Slot Master File and Data Reconciliation

  • Maintains and version-controls the Slot Master File as the document repository supporting every record in the slot data system, so that each device's system entry is traceable to its source documentation (shipping and receiving records, inbound permits, laboratory certifications, par sheets, and conversion, move and removal paperwork).
  • Reconciles the slot data system against the Slot Master File, the Tribal Gaming Commission's regulatory device inventory (IRIS), the fixed asset and lease/participation trackers, and the physical floor; researches and resolves all variances and documents the resolution.
  • Maintains slot data system accuracy at the standard required to support real-time regulatory inventory reporting through IRIS-Link, and coordinates with TGC-Compliance to resolve discrepancies between the slot data system and IRIS.
  • Maintains the par sheet library, ensuring a current, legible par sheet is on file for every theme, denomination, and configuration in service, and that the filed par matches the par configured in the system.
  • Produces and works recurring exception reports, including zero coin-in devices, meter fault and rollover conditions, devices with missing or mismatched par, orphaned or duplicate asset records, and devices in the system without a corresponding floor location.
  • Supports month-end close, Daily Operating Report reconciliation, participation and lease invoice verification, and manufacturer billing disputes by supplying validated device-level data.

3. Gaming Floor Audits

  • Conducts recurring physical audits of the entire gaming floor on a published cycle, covering 100% of devices each quarter at minimum.
  • Inspects at each device: asset tag and serial number, physical location versus system location, denomination and configuration, belly/top glass and signage, par sheet on file, progressive display and linkage, and player tracking display and card reader function.
  • Confirms during floor audits that the program identification displayed or labeled on each device matches the version recorded in the slot data system, and that TGC seals and regulatory labeling are present and intact. Reports any mismatch, missing seal, or broken seal to TGC-Compliance the same day. Certification verification (eVerify) and seal application remain the responsibility of TGC-Compliance.
  • Documents all audit findings, refers each finding to the responsible department through the Director of Casino Operations, and tracks findings to closure.
  • Maintains audit documentation in an organized, retrievable form suitable for review by Revenue Audit, Internal Audit, the Tribal Gaming Commission, and state or federal regulators.

4. Pre-Coin Testing and Pre-Release Functional Checks

  • With Slot Technical, performs pre-coin testing on every newly installed, converted, relocated, or major-serviced gaming device β€” checklist verification, meter baseline capture, and the functional checks below β€” and documents the results on the project checklist before the device is presented to Revenue Audit.
  • Presents the device and completed checklist to Revenue Audit, which independently verifies machine settings, conducts coin and wallet testing, and approves release to play. Witnesses Revenue Audit's coin and wallet tests and supplies meter readings on request. This position does not conduct the independent coin and wallet test and does not approve release to play.
  • Tests bill validator acceptance across all accepted denominations, ticket-in acceptance, ticket-out printing and validation, and voucher redemption at the applicable redemption points.
  • Confirms the full meter set β€” coin in, coin out, jackpot, hand pay, bill in, ticket in, ticket out, games played, door opens and applicable game-specific meters β€” is present, reads zero or the documented baseline, and transmits accurately to the slot data system.
  • Tests hand pays and jackpot lockup, reset function, door switches and alarm reporting, printer status conditions, attract and audio function, and player tracking card read and message display.
  • Confirms progressive increment and contribution behavior on linked, standalone, and wide-area devices.
  • Places devices out of service and escalates to Slot Technical when a pre-coin check fails; re-tests and documents before the device is presented to Revenue Audit.

5. Regulatory and Documentation Support

  • Maintains device modification, conversion, installation, and removal logs in accordance with the Tribal-State Compact, the Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS), and 25 CFR Part 542 Minimum Internal Control Standards.
  • Retains manufacturer certifications, laboratory approvals, and configuration documentation for all devices in service. Responds to documentation requests from Revenue Audit, Internal Audit, the Tribal Gaming Commission, and manufacturer or regulatory representatives.
  • Coordinates with Slot Technical, Finance, Revenue Audit, TGC-Compliance, Marketing, and manufacturer field representatives on device projects, conversions, and floor layout changes.
  • Uses proper skills (respect, patience, attentiveness, etc.) when dealing with guests and employees. Shares information with other departments to facilitate their handling of customer situations.
  • Assists in resolving customer complaints/disputes.
  • Must learn, comprehend, and comply with all company policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulations, and Title 31 requirements.
  • Working hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule and are subject to change.
