What to Expect

Tesla was founded in 2003 with the goal of accelerating the transition to sustainable energy and protecting the planet Earth. Through solar energy, batteries, and electric vehicles, we are building a world of amazing abundance.

At Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, we manufacture the Model Y, and starting in 2027, we’ll produce everything from battery cells to electric vehicles. This is unique in Europe. Our international team consists of over 12,000 employees from 130 countries. We hire talent at all skill levels - prior experience in the automotive industry is not required. Would you like to help write the next chapter in Tesla’s success story and work at one of Germany’s most modern workplaces? Then this is the right place for you!

In this role, you will lead the delivery of MV, LV, and VLV electrical installations—including building systems, process systems, utilities, and substations. You will ensure all work is executed in compliance with design documentation, technical specifications, and German regulations, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

This position requires close coordination with project stakeholders and a hands-on approach to site supervision and problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise all on-site electrical and controls construction activities for MV, LV, and VLV systems, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and German standards (VDE, DIN EN 60364, Betriebssicherheitsverordnung).
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to verify the correct installation of switchgear, cable trays, busbars, distribution panels, grounding systems, surge protection, and control circuits.
  • Coordinate and direct site teams, including electrical craft personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure alignment with project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations on site in accordance with German occupational safety laws (ArbSchG) and electrical safety requirements (VDE 0105).
  • Identify installation deviations, technical conflicts, and integration issues, and implement corrective actions in coordination with the Construction Manager when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for client representatives and external stakeholders, providing updates on progress, quality, compliance, and commissioning readiness.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Manager or in a comparable leadership role within the construction industry. Large-scale projects may require additional years of experience.
  • Experience in large-scale EPC projects or advanced manufacturing environments (e.g., semiconductor, EV battery, or data centers) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise field teams with a strong focus on execution quality and compliance.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); German language skills are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of German building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements, with demonstrated application on construction sites.
  • Strong decision-making skills combined with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams in regulated or complex project environments preferred.
  • Proficiency in construction management and digital tools such as Navisworks, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a clear focus on technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Not only do we offer you an attractive compensation package, but also access to a wide range of perks and benefits. For example:

  • Our own medical center, a gym and an in-house barbershop
  • E-bike charging stations in front of the factory, more than 500 free charging stations for electric cars, a bike leasing program, free use of the nextbike bike-sharing fleet, as well as numerous free shuttle bus routes to Grünheide and the surrounding areas
  • You’ll receive subsidized canteen meals, a free S-membership at the Urban Sports Club (discount from M+) and you can sign up for many language courses
  • We also offer all employees a wide range of insurance options, such as a company pension plan, as well as discounts on private insurance and legal protection insurance

These and many other benefits await you. Join Tesla and help us build a world of amazing abundance.

Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement.
