Forecasting & Commercial Planning Analyst

Nature and Scope

 The Forecasting Analyst leads the Demand Planning component of the Company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and develops executive-level materials to communicate forecast assumptions, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership. This role partners with Trade, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Leadership to support demand and prioritization planning. The Forecasting Analyst also monitors in-line product performance and leads analytical workstreams that optimize the effectiveness of Commercial programs and tactics. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and quantitative skills with strategic business acumen, excellent communication, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations and drive portfolio performance.

This is a hybrid position based in Shirley, NY, offering the flexibility to work both remotely and onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·      Develop and maintain forecasts for the full in-line product portfolio, including forecasting methodology, statistical trends, key assumptions, risks and opportunities, product performance, and supply constraints. Provide recommendations on demand, inventory, shortage risk, and safety stock priorities, and communicate forecast performance, tracking metrics, and key insights to relevant stakeholders.

·      Collaborate with Supply Chain team to prepare and present S&OP materials for in-line commercial product portfolio, clearly communicating forecast outputs, assumptions, performance metrics, and recommendations to key stakeholders.

·      Partner with Trade, Supply Chain, and Commercial Leadership to support prioritization planning across products, customers, and channels, incorporating demand signals, inventory availability, market dynamics, and business impact.

·      Update demand, ex-factory shipments, market performance and chargeback data for American Regent’s product portfolio throughout the year based on information gathered from both internal and external data sources.

·      Monitor competitive landscape and proactively identifying and modeling events which may have an impact on in-line product portfolio forecasts.

·      Drive integration of forecasting efforts with primary research, competitive intelligence, and analytics insights to enhance business impact of the Commercial function.

·      Monitor and report of Key Performance Indicators for the entire in-line product portfolio to track launch performance and bridge leading indicators to business outcomes.

·      Serve as a cross-functional forecasting and planning partner to Trade, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management, and Commercial Leadership to ensure business decisions are supported by consistent data, aligned assumptions, and timely analytics.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

·      Bachelors’ degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics/finance/economics) or similar field required.

·      Minimum 2 years of experience in forecasting, business analytics, supply chain planning, or a related role highly preferred.

·      Analytical experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred; generics experience preferred.

·      Strong ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise, executive-level presentations and recommendations.

·      Demonstrated ability to use advanced analytical competencies (regression analysis, etc.) to analyze/leverage data frominternal and external sources, and persuasively present findings.

·      Experience with pharmaceutical data helpful, including IQVIA.

·      Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.

·      Experience with relevant business intelligence and analytical systems, including Alteryx and Cognos preferred.

·      Familiarity with forecasting, analytics, data visualization, or planning tools is a plus.

·      Exposure to forecasting applications aplus (IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, etc.) preferred.

Expected Salary Range:

$79,900 - $84,000

The salary range, displayed is the  minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role.  Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
