Shipping Supervisor – Onsite

The purpose of this job is to keep inventory in the finished goods warehouse accurate, make sure outbound loads are loaded correctly and supervise warehouse team members.

 

The Job

  • Abide by all SBD Martin safety rules and regulations.
  • Manage shipping personnel, assign work, timecards, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Supervise all lift drivers and scanner-labelers on safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Assist coordinators at the warehouse in their accounts.
  • Supervise the inventory process for finished goods
  • Supervise the outbound loads
  • Coordinate with personnel special shipments going to corporate, shows, etc.
  • Assist with filling in key roles when needed. (Team leader, shipping clerk. Loader, etc.)
  • Report and communicate any equipment issues to be repaired to the proper personnel (Forklifts, scan guns, yard dog trucks, etc.)
  • Work with and support yard dog drivers on shuttle issues and coordinated pulls.
  • Coordinate trailer repair with all groups for the campus.
  • Order parts and warehouse supplies when needed.
  • Make sure that labor cost and head counts are within budget.
  • Instruct team members in ISO and 5S and perform safety walks.
  • Must be able to work 2:30pm-12:30am shifts

 

 

The Person

  • Good supervisory skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of scanning, printing and forklift equipment.
  • Good working knowledge of WMS.
  • Near perfect attendance.
  • Good knowledge of SBD Martin computer systems.
  • Able to work and follow instruction with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

The Salary range for this position is $63,800.00 - $102,700.00

  • This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
