Shipping & Inventory Coordinator

Our public sector client is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focusedShipping & Inventory Coordinator to support warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving activities, and administrative functions. This unique role requires a physically fit individual who can effectively balance hands-on warehouse responsibilities with accurate data entry and inventory tracking. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling high-security and serialized materials, operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring orders are processed and shipped within established service levels.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience operating a reach truck and warehouse equipment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and distribution activities while ensuring orders are processed accurately and within service level timelines.
• Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely while adhering to all OHS policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, stock replenishment, inventory reconciliation, and FIFO inventory rotation.
• Perform warehouse administration duties, including shipment tracking, database maintenance, data entry, and documentation of serialized materials.
• Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and support operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and logistics coordination.
• Proven ability to safely operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment in a warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail with experience handling serialized or high-security inventory and performing accurate data entry.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 35 lbs regularly and performing prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and other warehouse-related activities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and contribute effectively to a team environment.

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, move, and handle boxes and materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform frequent bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, and manual handling activities while picking, packing, receiving, and organizing inventory.
• Must be able to safely operate a reach truck and other material handling equipment in accordance with warehouse safety procedures.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including CSA-approved safety boots.
• Sufficient physical stamina and mobility to support shipping, receiving, inventory counts, stock replenishment, warehouse organization, and mail distribution activities.
• Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while handling high-security and serialized inventory, requiring precise physical and administrative execution of tasks.
