OVERALL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for all aspects of shipping material goods from the warehouse while providing customer service to both internal and external customers. Monday - Friday, 7a - 4p  $20-23/hr DOE

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepare and pack orders for shipment.
• Assembles orders, while checking against shipping or customer order; reports shortages and incomplete orders.
• Select appropriate shipping containers and packing material. Operates standard manual and automatic equipment.
• Stack shipments on skids and transfer shipments to shipping dock.
• Expedite and Monitor Aftermarket shop orders through production to ensure timely completion and on time delivery to customer.
• Proactively contact vendors to keep abreast of outstanding aftermarket purchase orders in order to expedite to meet or exceed promised delivery dates.
• Provides customer service; in person, over the phone, and in writing to both internal and external customers.
• Assist in processing RGA (Returned Goods Authorization).
• Safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations
• Safely operates crane, hoist, pallet-jack, or power truck to move materials as needed.
• Ensure smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper final storage area in an effective, safe, and efficient manner.
• Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and to maintain a safe and well-organized warehouse which complies with company safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Individual must possess these knowledge's, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

• Warehouse/distribution knowledge.
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills
• Computer/software application skills - word, excel, access and outlook. Max Exact preferred.
• Able to mediate escalated issues while providing customer service.
• Strong team player.
• Ability to use carts, manual pallet-jack, overhead cranes
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
• Good math and measurement skills
• Product knowledge preferred but not required.

EXPERIENCE

• Former warehouse experience a plus, preferably in shipping.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, put parts into storage in the warehouse.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
