Position Summary:

Provides timely shipment of orders and parts check-in.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Effectively pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers according to company process and standards.
• Inspect, check-in and stock shelves with incomingparts.
• Compare parts received against packing lists to verify accuracy of shipmentsreceived.
• Move heavy items with the help of forklifts, pallet jacks and wheeltrucks.
• Assists with inventory cyclecounts.
• Negotiate shipping rates with freight companies andcouriers.
• Files damaged goods claims whenapplicable.
• Inspects forklifts daily and schedules maintenance andrepairs.
• Pulls, packs, tags and ships partsreturn.
• Assists with core returns tovendors.
• Pulls orders for partsdelivery.
• May fill in for delivery drivers as needed.
• Other duties to meet businessrequirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to safely operate forklift and pallet jack.

Key Attributes/Skills/Characteristics:

• Basic computer skills (listspecifics)
• Basic mathskills
• Good communication and interpersonalskills
• Ability to use shipping software programs such as UPS, FedEx, courier software,etc.
• Effective time managementskills
• Attention todetail.
• Self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications:

• Good communication skills for negotiating shipping rates with multiple freightcarriers.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record (whereapplicable).
• Must become certified to operate a forklift (Company providedtraining).
• Must pass pre-employment drugscreen.
• Must pass DOT physical (ifapplicable)
