Investment analyst (M&A)

A large Ukrainian company is looking for an Investment Analyst to join the CFO's team. You will analyse companies and investment opportunities, build financial models for investment projects, prepare investment materials for management and take part in deals from due diligence through to deal materials. You start on one investment project and grow your scope from there, with the option to join a business development team on international projects later.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial analysis of companies and investment opportunities using DCF, trading multiples and unit economics

• Building and maintaining financial models to evaluate investment projects

• Analysis of financial statements, markets and industry trends

• Preparing investment memoranda, presentations and analytical materials for management

• Participating in deal processes: due diligence, preparation of deal materials and work with stakeholders

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Big 4, investment banking or another relevant financial background

• ACCA or CFA would be a benefit

• Hands-on experience building DCF and multiples-based valuations yourself

• Experience building and maintaining financial models for investment projects

• Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

• Experience with unit economics analysis of a business or project

• Experience preparing investment memoranda and management presentations

• Exposure to deal work: due diligence, deal materials, work with deal stakeholders

• Readiness to sign an NDA and undergo the employer's standard security screening, including polygraph testing

• Working proficiency in English and Ukrainian

• Based in Ukraine
