Project Overview King County Metro's Service Information (SI) team seeks support to develop a modern SharePoint hub site and a small set of reusable no-code templates. The project will establish a scalable foundation for SI and Mobility teams. Objectives 1. Develop a centralized SharePoint hub to serve as a landing point for all SI-related products, services, and staff tools. 2. Create 5 prebuilt, customizable, and reusable SharePoint templates without coding. 3. Provide light configuration and troubleshooting support, such as setup of site components, document libraries, metadata, and general SharePoint configuration. 4. Deliver training, documentation, and handoff materials to enable staff to maintain the hub, manage templates, and update content independently. Deliverables 1. SI Hub Landing Page • Introductory content area • Basic product catalog layout (static tiles or cards; no automation) • Image buttons linked to existing Jira request forms • Document library structure • Placeholder section for future enhancements (Power BI, countdown clock, etc.) 2. Information Architecture Setup • One Information Architecture workshop with the Project Team • One revision cycle • Hub site creation • Top-level and hub navigation design • Recommendations for content types and metadata (no custom development) 3. Five Reusable SharePoint Page Templates • Internal Team landing template including o Team calendars overlay o Internal forms (e.g. time-off request) o Document library and reference materials • Workgroup landing template including o Work calendar o Document library o Relevant links and materials • Process template including o Project information o Schedules o Workflow description • Document library/resource template • Announcement/dashboard template (lightweight, static) 4. Branding and UI/UX • Styling aligned with King County standards • Accessibility-aligned layouts following Microsoft 365 best practices • Style guidance for consistent use of fonts, colors, and layouts 5. Light Configuration & Support • Setup of metadata, libraries, and site components, • General SharePoint configuration • Basic guidance for managing hub-associated sites 6. Training and Handover • 1–2 live training sessions (recorded) • A 5–10 page user guide (i.e. Word document) covering: o How to use templates o How to maintain hub navigation o How to create and update pages Requests • Provide a quote and time estimates to fulfill the project objectives. • Submit at least 2 case studies and portfolio samples of similar SharePoint work • Show ability to deliver human-centered design and intuitive navigation • Experience in developing scalable and code-free department-wide solutions • Provide technical support during implementation and post-launch, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and guidance
