Role Overview

The SF Developer 2 (Knowledge) will configure and support Salesforce Knowledge and Service Cloud capabilities that improve agent enablement, case handling, and content-driven customer support. The role will also support Knowledge integration with Energy & Utilities Cloud, OmniStudio and OmniScript, the Clean Energy Module, Flow, permissions, search, and deployment activities. This is not an entry-level role; the candidate must bring prior hands-on Salesforce experience and be able to complete assigned development and configuration tasks with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1.Configure and develop Salesforce Knowledge capabilities within Service Cloud, including article types, templates, data categories, permissions, approvals, publishing lifecycle, search, feedback, and reporting.
2.Integrate Knowledge into case-management, agent workflows, Energy & Utilities Cloud processes, OmniStudio and OmniScript experiences, and Clean Energy Module workflows.
3.Support migration, cleansing, categorization, deduplication, validation, and publishing of legacy knowledge content and metadata.
4.Develop Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, or APIs when standard Knowledge capabilities require extension.
5.Partner with content owners, business analysts, UX, architects, developers, QA, change, and training teams to improve relevance, adoption, governance, and production readiness.
6.Create unit tests, technical documentation, deployment packages, defect fixes, and support materials.

Required Qualifications

1.2+ years of relevant enterprise delivery experience. This is not an entry-level role; candidates must be able to complete assigned work with limited supervision and escalate risks early.
2.Prior hands-on Salesforce experience with Service Cloud, Knowledge, Flow, permissions, layouts, data categories, search, and deployment support.
3. Hands-on or practical experience using OmniStudio and OmniScript within Salesforce customer-service, Knowledge, or guided-workflow solutions.
4.Ability to translate user stories and acceptance criteria into working Salesforce configuration with clear documentation and testable outcomes.
5.Foundational knowledge of Apex or Lightning Web Components, Salesforce security, Agile delivery, defect triage, and release processes.
6.Strong communication skills and the ability to ask thoughtful questions, document work clearly, and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
7.Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments with cross-functional onshore and offshore teams.
8.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain decisions, document risks and dependencies, and collaborate directly with business and technology stakeholders.
9.Experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted tools where appropriate, with independent validation of outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Salesforce Energy & Utilities Cloud and/or the Salesforce Clean Energy Module in utility customer-service, clean-energy, or regulated-industry knowledge workflows.
2.Data Cloud or AI-assisted knowledge and search experience.
3.Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer, Administrator, OmniStudio, or Energy & Utilities Cloud credentials.
