Tank Technician

Job Specification 

The Tank Technicianis responsible for repairing, cleaning, testing,loading and unloading of all stainless steel and acid tanks and associated equipment 

Principal Accountabilities 

Employeespredominantly engage in the following essential job functions during their day-to-day activities:
 

• Ensures all equipment isproperly cleaned and staged. 
   

• Perform maintenance and service on equipment such as pressure washing, completing inspections, etc. 
   

• Performs inspection on equipment asrequired.
   

• Perform NDE inspection (wet mag, dye penetrant) on equipment pad-eyes asrequired.
   

• Perform visual inspections on equipment and slings per ASME B30.9 asrequired.
   

• Changes slings and prepare reports for recertification. 
   

• Removes outdate slings and prepare reports for recertification.
   

• Installs recertified slings.
   

• Complete forklift safety checklist daily/upon use
   

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing equipment.
   

• Maintain andsubmit
  accurate inspection forms, delivery paperwork, etc. 
   

• Maintain a safe work site.
   

• Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor.
   

Qualifications and Experience 

• At least 18 years old.  

• Applicants mustpossess a valid Driver’s license.   

• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.  

• A clean work, driving, and criminal history record.  

• Safety conscience  

• 1-year general oilfield experience or equivalent combination of education.  

• Basic Computer knowledge 
   

• Ability to communicate with other crew members, customers, and vendors.  

Preferred, but notrequired.  

• 6 months experience in NDE, current NDE Level II certification a plus  

• 6 months experience in Rigging, current Rigging Gear and Sling Inspector Level II
