Title: ServiceNow TSM Solution Architect

Location: Remote

Position Summary
We are seeking a ServiceNow TSM Solution Architect (Contractor) to lead the architecture, design, and strategic evolution of the ServiceNow Technology Service Management (TSM) platform. This role will be responsible for defining the technical vision, ensuring scalable solution design, and governing platform standards while partnering with Product, Engineering, and IT leadership.
The architect will act as the technical authority for ServiceNow TSM, ensuring solutions follow best practices, enterprise architecture standards, and IT governance requirements while enabling business transformation through automation and platform optimization.

Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Architecture & Strategy (ServiceNow TSM)
  • Define the technical architecture and long-term roadmap for the ServiceNow TSM platform.
  • Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance platform design aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • Establish platform standards, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Drive platform modernization and capability expansion initiatives.
  • Evaluate new ServiceNow features and recommend adoption strategy.
2. Solution Design & Technical Leadership
  • Lead solution architecture for ServiceNow implementations and enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Provide architecture guidance to development teams.
  • Review and approve technical solution designs.
  • Ensure proper integration patterns with enterprise systems.
3. Requirements & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Owners, IT leadership, and business stakeholders to define solution direction.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and architecture workshops.
  • Ensure solutions meet functional, non-functional, and security requirements.
  • Provide technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
4. Development Governance & Vendor Oversight
  • Provide architectural oversight for internal and vendor development teams.
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.
  • Review code quality, technical designs, and release readiness.
  • Guide Agile delivery teams on technical priorities.
  • Manage technical deliverables from ServiceNow partners and vendors.
5. Process Transformation & Automation
  • Lead ITSM/TSM process transformation initiatives.
  • Identify automation opportunities using ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Design workflow automation strategies.
  • Define technical standards for process implementation.
  • Guide implementation of enterprise service management practices.
6. Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure platform compliance with ITIL and enterprise governance standards.
  • Define platform security architecture and access models.
  • Support audit, compliance, and risk reviews.
  • Establish change and release governance frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise integration and security policies.
7. Documentation & Technical Standards
  • Create and maintain:
    • Architecture diagrams
    • Technical design documents
    • Integration architecture documentation
    • Platform standards documentation
    • Data flow diagrams
  • Establish technical SOPs and governance models.
8. Reporting & Technical Communication
  • Provide architecture updates to IT leadership.
  • Communicate technical risks and dependencies.
  • Define technical KPIs and platform health metrics.
  • Support executive presentations on platform strategy.
Qualifications
Required
  • 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow platform architecture or solution architecture.
  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience (TSM / ITSM / CSM or related modules).
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, CMDB, integrations, and workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL framework.
  • Experience designing enterprise scale ServiceNow solutions.
  • Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, middleware).
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified System Architect (CSA) or Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
  • Enterprise Architecture background.
  • Experience with large enterprise implementations.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS).
  • Experience in IT transformation programs.
  • Experience with platform governance models.
