Role Overview

Lead Infrastructure and DevOps as an enablement function that accelerates engineering delivery and supports reliable, scalable operations. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on execution, making Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC), automation, CI/CD, and AI central to how infrastructure is built and operated.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure strategy and team development: Establish the technical roadmap, develop the team, and align infrastructure investments with engineering productivity, business growth, and operational needs.
• Establish Infrastructure as a Code as the standard: Build reusable, version-controlled infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Standardize provisioning, configuration, and change management across AWS and GCP, with automated validation, policy enforcement, and configuration drift detection.
• Own CI/CD and operational automation: Build pipelines that automate testing, security checks, application and infrastructure deployments, and rollbacks. Create self-service capabilities for environment provisioning and releases, reducing manual intervention, deployment lead times, and change failures.
• Apply AI to engineering and operational workflows: Introduce AI-assisted infrastructure development, troubleshooting, incident triage, and remediation, with appropriate validation and controls. Measure improvements in developer productivity, response times, and operational effort.
• Own reliability, performance, and scalability: Operate resilient cloud environments supported by observability, service-level objectives, capacity planning, and incident response. Automate routine maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery testing to reduce operational risk and recurring issues.

Additional Responsibilities

• Optimize cloud costs and vendor spend: Establish cost visibility and accountability, automate identification of underutilized resources, and improve infrastructure efficiency as the business scales.
• Embed security and compliance into infrastructure: Partner with engineering and security stakeholders to automate access controls, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure hardening, and compliance evidence collection.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years leading Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering teams supporting production SaaS applications.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including cloud architecture, networking, identity and access management, compute, storage, and managed databases.
• Deep experience with Infrastructure as a Code, including Terraform or equivalent tools, reusable modules, state management, automated validation, and Git-based infrastructure change workflows.
• Strong CI/CD and automation engineering skills, including scripting or programming, containers, orchestration, automated quality gates, artifact management, and environment promotion. Experience implementing safe deployment and rollback strategies, such as blue-green or canary releases.
• Demonstrated success improving operational outcomes, including reliability, recovery times, cloud efficiency, and engineering productivity, with practical experience applying AI to infrastructure or DevOps workflows.

• Casual, open-office environment
• Tuesdays and Wednesday in office for local employees (free parking!)

Salary & Benefits

• Base Salary:$195K-$225K (Dependent on Experience)
• 14 Company Holidays in addition to Unlimited PTO
