Series Advisor - Crash Course Kids Nutrition

Crash Course, owned by Complexly, is an award-winning YouTube channel that invites students, teachers, and lifelong learners to tackle subjects they might have had trouble with or are curious to learn more about. Our videos take traditional classroom concepts and combine them with engaging and insightful narratives to help people learn and understand. 

More details on the position:

Job Title: Subject-Matter Expert/Series Advisor

Status: Freelance 

Location: Remote, US-Based 

Pay: $400-$600 per episode

Term: November 2026 through September 2027

What you'll do: 

As our freelance Advisor, you'll be responsible for consulting about episode content, reviewing each episode (outline, scripts, and videos) for Common Core standards alignment and age appropriate leveling (3-5th grade).

We are looking for children’s nutritionists, elementary (science) teachers with content experience, and/or other experts in nutrition for elementary-aged students. This is a team project, so having the ability to work effectively and respectfully with staff and other contractors is essential. And we need someone whose schedule is flexible, allowing for timely deadlines and consultation requests.
