Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager / Enterprise Test Strategy & Readiness Lead to establish and manage the enterprise testing, validation, application certification, and readiness framework for a large-scale technology transformation initiative.

The role will support a One Browser Initiative to standardize the organization on Microsoft Edge, alongside migration activities involving Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), End User Computing (EUC) modernization, and related infrastructure transformation programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise test strategy, application certification, test governance, cross-browser testing, readiness reporting, and stakeholder management across large application portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Test Strategy & Governance

• Develop and implement the overall enterprise testing and validation strategy for the One Browser Initiative.

• Define testing workstreams, scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and success criteria.

• Establish testing governance, roles, responsibilities, and accountability across infrastructure, product, business, and testing teams.

• Define testing types, validation activities, entry and exit criteria, and application readiness requirements.

• Implement risk-based testing approaches and standardized testing processes across impacted applications.

2. Application Certification & Sign-Off

• Define application validation requirements, testing expectations, and certification criteria.

• Establish testing evidence standards and formal application certification processes.

• Define business stakeholder and application owner sign-off requirements.

• Ensure application teams provide documented evidence of testing completion.

• Track application certification status, testing progress, defects, and readiness metrics.

• Establish exception management, risk acceptance, remediation, and escalation processes.

3. Stakeholder Coordination & Testing Governance

• Coordinate testing activities across application teams, product owners, application test managers, EUC, infrastructure, security, network, and project teams.

• Facilitate test planning workshops, governance meetings, and application readiness reviews.

• Manage cross-team dependencies, escalations, risks, and testing-related issues.

• Partner with application test managers to ensure consistent validation methods, documentation, and reporting.

• Drive stakeholder alignment, accountability, and timely completion of testing activities.

4. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Environment Validation

• Define the testing and validation approach for the target-state Azure Virtual Desktop environment.

• Establish application testing requirements for migrated applications within the approved AVD environment.

• Guide application teams on validating and certifying applications in the future-state environment.

• Define testing evidence, acceptance criteria, and readiness requirements before business certification and deployment decisions.

• Identify compatibility issues and migration risks that could affect application functionality or user experience.

5. Cross-Browser & Digital Experience Testing

• Develop cross-browser testing strategies for internal and external-facing applications.

• Define browser compatibility and support requirements across Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and applicable mobile browsers.

• Establish validation approaches for external user and member experiences using Perfecto or similar testing platforms.

• Partner with Digital and Product teams to ensure browser standardization does not negatively affect customer experience.

• Define test coverage, compatibility criteria, defect management, and acceptance standards.

6. Readiness Reporting & Executive Governance

• Establish enterprise readiness dashboards, testing metrics, and reporting standards.

• Track application certification, testing completion, defects, dependencies, risks, and remediation activities.

• Provide regular readiness assessments and status updates to program leadership and executive stakeholders.

• Support Go/No-Go decisions for pilot programs, migration waves, and production deployments.

• Escalate unresolved risks and readiness gaps that could impact migration timelines or business operations.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software testing, test management, quality assurance, or enterprise technology transformation.

• Strong experience developing and implementing enterprise test strategies for large-scale transformation programs.

• Proven experience managing application certification, validation, and formal sign-off processes.

• Expertise in enterprise test governance, readiness management, release management, and risk-based testing.

• Experience with browser modernization and cross-browser testing strategies.

• Strong stakeholder coordination and multi-team dependency management skills.

• Experience preparing executive-level dashboards, readiness reports, and risk assessments.

• Ability to lead testing initiatives across large application portfolios and geographically distributed teams.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and escalation management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Edge migration or enterprise browser standardization programs.

• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and End User Computing (EUC) modernization.

• Experience with Perfecto or similar digital experience and cross-browser testing platforms.

• Background in infrastructure, workplace technology, or enterprise application modernization.

• Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

• Experience supporting phased migrations, pilot deployments, and enterprise-wide rollout programs.
