Role Title:Senior Quality Engineering Consultant — Oracle Fusion ERP
Location: Seattle, WA OR Remote-with-travel candidates
Role Summary
The senior functional quality authority for the Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain pillars. This person converts business process design into an executable, traceable test basis, leads functional test execution through to UAT, and directs the offshore ERP test pod.
This is a functional-depth role. We need someone who can read a chart of accounts design and immediately know which scenarios will break it — not a generalist tester learning Oracle Financials on our schedule. Minimal oversight is the expectation: this person should sit in a design playback, spot an untestable requirement, and raise it without being prompted.
Key Responsibilities
•Own the ERP test basis: derive test conditions and scenarios from enterprise structure design, chart of accounts design, end-to-end process flows, and configuration workbooks.
•Author and review functional test scenarios across the in-scope ERP and SCM footprint (see Section 0).
•Lead functional test execution through system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing; direct and quality-check the work of offshore QE resources assigned to ERP.
•Own ERP integration test scenarios across the Finance interface estate — including banking, tax engine, revenue accounting, maintenance/operations, close management, and enterprise data platform interfaces — coordinating with technical and integration teams.
•Define and validate ERP data conversion test scenarios with the Test Data Manager: balances, open items, supplier master, asset registers, lease schedules, and historical reconciliation.
•Validate financial controls, approval hierarchies, and SoD scenarios in coordination with the controls and risk workstreams.
•Facilitate UAT for Finance and Procurement business users: scenario preparation, session facilitation, defect capture, and driving resolution.
•Triage and drive ERP defects to closure with the SI and configuration teams — acting as first-line functional analyst, not merely logging defects.
•Specify automation candidates and regression scope in enough functional detail that automation engineers can build without rework.
Required Qualifications
•10+ years in QA/QE, including6+ years leading functional test delivery on Oracle Financials / ERP implementations.
•At least one full-lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation owned from design through go-live.
•Functional depth sufficient to independently design scenarios for period close, consolidation, subledger accounting, accounting hub, and procure-to-pay flows — without a functional consultant writing them.
•Practical accounting literacy: chart of accounts and ledger structures, legal entity and business unit design, intercompany, accruals, reconciliation, and financial close. Prior accounting or audit background is a distinct advantage.
•Experience testingprocure-to-pay end to end: requisitioning, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, invoice ingestion, matching, and payment.
•Hands-ondata conversion validation and reconciliation for financial data.
•Experience withintegration/interface testing in a complex ERP landscape.
•Experience leading or directing offshore test resources, including reviewing offshore-authored artifacts for quality.
•Proficient with enterprise test management tooling; disciplined about traceability and evidence.
•Strong written communication — able to write a defect a configuration consultant can act on without a follow-up meeting.
•Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Preferred
•PeopleSoft Financials background, particularly migration to Fusion.
•Exposure to Oracle Risk Management Cloud / Advanced Controls and SoD testing.
•SCM Inventory and Item Master testing experience.
•Automation literacy — able to specify and review automated tests even if not building them (Provar, Tricentis, Opkey, OATS, Selenium/Playwright, or similar).
•Complex, regulated, or asset-intensive industry experience.
•Multi-entity or post-merger environment experience.
