Drive the cross-functional execution that moves next-generation AI-enabled radar hardware from concept through production and customer delivery.
MatrixSpace develops AI-enabled radar and sensing systems that help people understand what's happening in the world around them. By combining advanced radar, edge computing, and AI, we deliver situational awareness in environments where traditional sensing solutions struggle.
We're looking for aSenior Technical Program Manager to drive New Product Development across ourRadar Systems team. You'll own the integrated project plan for complex embedded radar products, coordinating work across RF, electrical, mechanical, FPGA, embedded software, systems engineering, test, supply chain, quality, and operations. You'll drive execution from early planning through integration, phase-gate reviews, validation, and production readiness. Engineering leaders will own technical decisions; you'll make sure the teams, dependencies, decisions, and deliverables come together on time.
If you're technically curious, skilled at bringing teams together, and comfortable driving accountability without direct authority, we'd love to talk.
What You'll Do
Own and maintain the integrated New Product Development plan across hardware, firmware, and software, including milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and readiness criteria.
Work with Product and engineering leaders early to test assumptions about scope, schedules, capacity, and technical dependencies before commitments are made.
Drive execution across engineering, test, supply chain, quality, and operations. Surface gaps and conflicting priorities early, bring the right people together, and escalate decisions when needed.
Lead cross-functional phase-gate reviews. Coordinate deliverables and functional signoffs, track open actions, and make readiness and unresolved risks clear to decision-makers.
Coordinate quality-system, certification, and audit activities with the responsible functional teams, including preparation, evidence gathering, and closure of findings.
Give leaders a clear view of progress, risks, and tradeoffs while keeping the planning and review process practical for the teams doing the work.
What We're Looking For
This position requires working directly or indirectly with the US Government in restricted environments. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship and may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance in the future.
Required
8+ years of experience driving New Product Development or technical program execution forcomplex embedded products that combine hardware and software.
Experience with radar, RF, sensors, aerospace, defense, or other technically demanding physical products.
Experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines through design, prototype builds, hardware/software integration, verification, qualification, and production readiness.
A track record of owning an integrated project plan and driving cross-functional phase-gate reviews, including clear milestones, dependencies, risks, deliverables, and decisions.
Enough technical fluency to understand how changes in hardware, firmware, and software affect one another, ask useful questions, and work credibly with engineering leaders.
Experience managing supplier, component, test, manufacturing, or other physical-product dependencies alongside software development schedules.
The judgment and communication skills to challenge unrealistic plans, resolve execution issues, and drive follow-through without direct authority over the teams doing the work.
Someone Who Will Thrive in This Role
You can see how a delay or design change in one part of an embedded system affects the rest of the product.
You bring structure to ambitious development work without burying engineers in process.
You know when to press for a decision, when to escalate a risk, and when to leave a technical decision with its engineering owner.
At MatrixSpace, you'll help turn new radar concepts into integrated, tested products that teams can build and customers can use. If that sounds exciting, we'd love to hear from you.
