Responsibilities:
- Business Process Discovery and Documentation
- Document current-state and future-state business processes supporting BTAS and related operations.
- Lead discovery sessions with business users, operations teams, technology teams, data partners, and third-party vendors.
- Create cross-functional workflow and swimlane diagrams in Microsoft Visio or other available tools that clearly show roles, handoffs, systems, controls, exceptions, and dependencies.
- Identify undocumented processes, information gaps, operational risks, and opportunities to improve or standardize workflows.
- Technical, Data, and Integration Analysis
- Develop a working understanding of the application ecosystem, supporting architecture, interfaces, integrations, and document repositories.
- Document source data, inbound and outbound exchanges, connectivity methods, transformation points, and downstream consumers across internal and external partners.
- Trace data lineage and clarify data ownership, business rules, reconciliation processes, dependencies, and exception handling.
- Partner with architects, developers, integration teams, testers, and platform specialists to translate technical implementation details into understandable process and system documentation.
- Requirements and Product Support
- Translate business needs and discovery findings into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, and supporting technical documentation.
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, dependency management, and delivery activities using Broadcom Rally (formerly CA Agile Central).
- Collaborate with the Product Manager, business subject matter experts, architects, developers, testing teams, and vendors throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Maintain an organized knowledge repository that reduces reliance on tribal knowledge and supports long-term continuity.
- Stakeholder and Partner Engagement
- Independently identify and engage the appropriate business and technical partners to resolve questions and close documentation gaps.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, walkthroughs, and working sessions across business and technology organizations.
- Ask probing questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and continue follow-up until processes, requirements, and technical dependencies are understood.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, Systems Analyst, or a comparable role.
- Proven experience documenting complex business processes and the technical components that support them.
- Ability to independently drive discovery and requirements elicitation with minimal supervision.
- Experience analyzing application integrations, APIs, file transfers, data exchanges, and system dependencies.
- Experience documenting data lineage, source systems, connectivity, data ownership, and downstream consumers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, including cross-functional workflows and swimlane diagrams.
- Experience developing functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data flow documentation.
- Experience working within an Agile delivery model and managing work in Rally.
- Excellent analytical, facilitation, written communication, and stakeholder management skills."
- Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:
- Financial services, banking, trust operations, accounting systems, asset servicing, or corporate trust experience.
- Experience supporting a large-scale application modernization or platform transformation initiative.
- Salesforce experience, including familiarity with platform capabilities, objects, data models, workflows, and integrations.
- MuleSoft experience, including API-led connectivity, integration flows, enterprise integration patterns, and data mapping.
- IBM FileNet experience, including content repositories, document lifecycle, metadata, workflow, retention, and application integrations.
- Experience working with internal and external data providers and vendor-managed applications.
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs, SFTP, file-based integrations, SQL, SharePoint, cloud-hosted applications, and identity or access management concepts.
