We are seeking an experiencedSenior Systems Developer.Ā This is afull-time positionthat offers the opportunity to lead and architect complex software systems whilst contributingto the technological advancement of our organisation. As a Senior Systems Developer, you willplay a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-level systems thatsupport our business operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation,improving system performance and ensuring the delivery of robust solutions that meet ourevolving business needs
Ā What you'll be doingā¢Design and develop enterprise-level systems and applications utilising industry bestpractices and modern architectural patternsā¢Lead the technical design phase of system development projects, ensuring scalability,security and performance optimisationā¢Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code whilst adhering to establishedcoding standards and guidelinesā¢Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers and teammembers to ensure code qualityā¢Collaborate with business analysts, project managers and stakeholders to understandrequirements and translate them into technical specificationsā¢Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex system issues and performance bottlenecksā¢Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technology selection andimplementation strategiesā¢Mentor and support junior developers in their technical growth and professionaldevelopmentā¢Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection standardsand regulationsā¢Document system designs, technical specifications and operational procedures forknowledge transfer and maintenanceĀ What we're looking forā¢Minimum 7+ years of professional software development experience with a proven trackrecord of delivering enterprise-level solutionsā¢Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, C++or similarā¢Solid understanding of system design principles, software architecture patterns anddesign patternsā¢Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL optimisation anddatabase designā¢Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and experience working incollaborative development environmentsā¢Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform is highlydesirableā¢Experience with API development, RESTful services and microservices architectureā¢Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation technologiessuch as Docker and Kubernetes is a plusā¢Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complextechnical challengesā¢Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborateeffectively across teamsā¢Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience mentoring junior developersā¢Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, orequivalent professional experienceš© Send your updated CV todarlene@thevitogroup.com.
