The Opportunity

We are seeking aSenior Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of our healthcare construction projects. This role is responsible for managing and coordinatingfield operations across multiple medical office projects, ensuring each one is deliveredsafely, efficiently, on schedule, and to Cornerstone’s high standards of quality and professionalism.

As a key leader within our Construction Division, the Senior Superintendent serves as theprimary field representative, fostering collaboration among subcontractors, design teams, clients, and internal project managers. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in building spaces that directly support healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily field operations on multiple active construction sites.

• Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, safety requirements, and quality expectations.

• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams, promoting accountability and collaboration.

• Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

• Review drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Conduct site meetings, inspections, and progress reviews with all stakeholders.

• Proactively identify potential delays or issues and implement corrective actions.

• Support quality control, punch list management, and project closeout activities.

• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff to build future leadership talent.

• Represent Cornerstone professionally with clients, architects, and regulatory officials.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of ten years of field construction experience, including at least five years in a Superintendent role.

• Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously, preferably within healthcare or medical office construction.

• Proven record of completing projects safely, on time, and within budget.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, codes, and best practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project) and construction management platforms such as Procore.

• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and risk management practices.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• OSHA 30-hour certification.

• Experience overseeing medical office or healthcare projects.

• Advanced training or certification in Lean Construction, CPM Scheduling, or Quality Control.

• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology.
