TheSenior Strategic Account Executive is responsible for leading Leica Biosystems' largest, most complex, and most strategically important healthcare customers. This role serves as a senior executive-facing commercial leader accountable for enterprise revenue growth, market share expansion, competitive displacement, and long-term business growth across priority health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, and strategic healthcare organizations. The Senior Strategic Account Executive is expected to operate at the highest level of enterprise account leadership, leading Leica Biosystems' most significant strategic pursuits and influencing executive decision makers across complex healthcare organizations. This role identifies transformational growth opportunities, shapes long-term customer strategy, leads complex enterprise initiatives, and serves as a role model for strategic account planning, executive engagement, opportunity leadership, and commercial execution. Success is measured through sustained revenue growth, competitive wins, enterprise expansion, and market share gain.

This position reports to theSenior Director, Strategic & Corporate Accounts and is part of the Strategic Accounts Team,working remotely to support assigned enterprise customers within the designated geography.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Â
- Own enterprise growth strategy, revenue performance, and market share expansion across Leica Biosystems' largest and most strategically important healthcare organizations.
- Develop and execute multi-year growth strategies focused on transformational opportunities, enterprise partnerships, competitive conversions, and long-term expansion.
- Lead the organization's most complex strategic pursuits, including enterprise agreements, large-scale health system initiatives, and executive-sponsored opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite leaders and key stakeholders to influence customer strategy, enterprise decisions, and long-term commercial outcomes.
- Leverage healthcare market expertise and mobilize senior leaders and cross-functional resources to advance complex opportunities, improve win rates, and deliver sustained revenue growth and market share gains.
The essential requirements of the job include:Â
- Bachelor's degree required with minimum 10+ years of progressive healthcare sales, strategic account management, business development, diagnostics, medical device, healthcare technology, or capital equipment experience.Â
- Demonstrated success managing large IDNs, health systems, GPOs, academic medical centers, or complex enterprise healthcare customers with significant strategic or commercial impact.Â
- Proven ability to influence C-suite executives and senior enterprise decision makers within complex healthcare organizations and build long-term strategic partnerships.Â
- Demonstrated experience leading complex enterprise opportunities, system-wide agreements, RFPs, strategic partnerships, or multi-year health system growth strategies requiring executive sponsorship and cross-functional execution.Â
- Strong healthcare business acumen, including understanding of health system economics, customer value drivers, financial and deal structure, market dynamics, and enterprise decision-making processes.Â
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:Â
- Travel: 50-75%.Â
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel overnight for territory coverage, executive customer engagements, strategic business reviews, internal meetings, and company meetings.Â
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Â
- MBA, MHA, or other advanced business, healthcare, or scientific degree.Â
- Leading strategic partnerships, enterprise agreements, or system-wide commercial initiatives across large IDNs, academic medical centers, or national healthcare organizations.Â
- Advanced understanding of hospital operating financials, healthcare economics, reimbursement dynamics, value analysis processes, and enterprise purchasing strategies.Â
- Coaching, mentoring, or informally developing commercial associates on strategic account planning, executive customer engagement, and enterprise opportunity execution.Â
- Leveraging DBS tools and standard work to drive enterprise account strategy, execution discipline, funnel management, countermeasures, and sustainable growth outcomes.Â

The base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $180,000. This role is also eligible for Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC). The total target compensation at plan (base + SIC) is $225,000 – $260,000 annually. Actual SIC earnings may exceed or fall below the target based on individual sales performance. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
