Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to design implement and operationalize enterprisewide data governance programs The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders data owners data stewards architects and technology teams to establish data governance frameworks improve data quality ensure regulatory compliance and drive adoption of data management best practices

Key Responsibilities

1 Data Governance Strategy Framework

Define and implement enterprise Data Governance frameworks policies standards and operating models

Establish roles and responsibilities for Data Owners Data Stewards Data Custodians and Governance Councils

Develop governance processes for data lifecycle management data issue resolution metadata management and change management

Drive governance maturity assessments and roadmap creation

2 Metadata Catalog Lineage

Establish and maintain business glossary metadata repositories and data catalogs

Define data lineage and endtoend traceability of critical data assets

Implement metadata standards and governance controls across platforms

3 Data Stewardship Compliance

Facilitate Data Governance Council and Stewardship meetings

Ensure compliance with enterprise data policies security privacy and regulatory requirements

Support audit readiness and governance reporting

Define data classification and retention standards

4 Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to drive governance adoption

Conduct governance workshops stakeholder interviews and awareness sessions

Act as a trusted advisor for governance and data management initiatives

Drive organizational change management and data literacy programs

5 Governance Tool Implementation

Support implementation and administration of governance platforms such as

Microsoft Purview

Informatica EDC Axon

Collibra

Alation

Data Quality platforms

Configure metadata ingestion business glossary classifications lineage workflows and governance dashboards

Required Skills

1 Mandatory

Strong understanding of Data Governance Data Management and Data Quality principles

Experience designing governance operating models and stewardship frameworks

Strong SQL and data analysis skills

Experience working with cloud data platforms Azure AWS GCP
