Job Description:
Responsibilities
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand their problems, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure alignment between business objectives and what gets built
• Serve as the primary technical advisor for AI adoption at flydubai, from use case discovery and qualification through evaluation, build and deployment, creating technical content for audiences from engineering deep dives to executive briefings
• Own end to end solution architecture for LLM and agentic systems, including agent orchestration, retrieval pipelines, MCP integrations and tool design, aligned to flydubai data, security and infrastructure standards
• Build working prototypes yourself to prove out the risky parts of a design before the team commits to it
• Continuously evaluate emerging models, platforms and frameworks: run structured spikes, benchmark them against real flydubai use cases, and maintain a clear recommendation on what to adopt, what to watch and what to ignore
• Lead and mentor the Applied AI engineers: set technical direction, review designs and code, unblock delivery and grow their capability
• Establish the team's engineering standards, including prompt and agent versioning, observability, release practice, and evaluation gates that measure agent and model performance against real business outcomes rather than benchmark scores
• Maintain a lightweight portfolio view of Applied AI engagements together with Enterprise Architecture, covering intake, prioritisation, sequencing and delivered value
• Identify reusable patterns and platform components and establish them as internal standards, so each engagement is faster than the last
• Work with IT Security, Data Governance, Legal and Enterprise Architecture to keep solutions compliant, auditable and scalable

• A repeatable intake to production pathway for AI use cases, with evaluation and security gates that stakeholders trust
• Multiple solutions in production with measurable business impact
• A standing, evidence-based view of the AI platform landscape that leadership uses to make investment decisions
• Applied AI engineers operating with increasing autonomy on their own engagements
