Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise database and data warehouse solutions.
· Develop and optimize stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, views, and complex SQL queries.
· Design data warehouse models and build ETL/ELT processes to integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and integrity.
· Perform performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and workload management for high-volume data environments.
· Automate database and data engineering processes using Python/PySpark.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders, BI teams, data engineers, and application support teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
· Manage deployments across environments and conduct code reviews.
· Participate in 24/7 production support for production-critical applications, including incident management, troubleshooting, performance issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
· Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical initiatives and development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
· 7+ years of hands-on database development experience, including at least 5 years in Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
· Strong experience in Amazon Redshift, AWS data services (S3, Glue, EMR), Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Data Modeling.
· Hands-on experience with Python/PySpark for data engineering, high-volume data processing, and automation.
· Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau.
· Experience working in Agile environments and using Git/version control.
· Airline/Aviation domain experience, particularly with PNR, booking, passenger, revenue, or flight data, is highly preferred.
· Prior experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical initiatives is an advantage.
